Survivor Eva Hart reflects on her father's joy when they got a position on the ship. After it struck the iceberg, her father went and spoke to one of the officers who told him that they are going to launch the lifeboats, but you'll be back on board for breakfast.

Titanic survivor Edith Haisman, who had been traveling to Canada with her parents, remembers the ship hitting the iceberg. She recalls the sadness among the survivors as they waited for nine hours in the frigid cold to be rescued. Her only hope was that her father was in one of the lifeboats. She and her mother looked for him with each lifeboat that made it to the Carpathia.
