James
Bond first appeared
onscreen in 1962's Dr. No. The film starred
Sean Connery. The character of James Bond originated
from Ian Fleming's 1953 novel Casino Royale.
Ian Fleming wrote twelve 007 novels along with two
collections of short stories. Many of the early films
were based on these writings. Fleming also wrote the
classic children's story, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,
which was turned into a movie musical by producer
Albert R Broccoli, who also produced many of the Bond
films.

Feedback: Who's your favorite James Bond?
"Can't
beat Connery. Besides, who else could seduce the ladies
faster." - Colin, Yorkshire, UK
"Roger Moore. He seemed to have a little
more self control than the others." - Melissa,
Wilmington, NC
"I'd have to say Pierce Brosnan was the
best. Remington Steele was only the beginning."
- Becky, Philadelphia, PA
