"The Children's Hour" - Mary Tillford played by Karen Balkin - here is the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOcbgT4KeEY Little Mary Tillford reads a naughty book and it gives her fodder for a terrible lie in the girls school run by Shirley MacLain and Audrey Hepburn. She tell Granny about the "sounds and things" she's heard coming from the two women together in the night to get out of going to the school where her lying and schemes are not fooling anyone.

Truly an incredible child performance of a manipulative child. Open and ugly.

"The Bad Seed" - Rhoda Penmark played by Patty McCormack - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=855412904097070782 Little Rhoda is likely more sociopathic than wicked. What an incredible performance of detached evil.

There are more - but I can't seem to think of them...

In The Innocents, the little boy who plays Miles, Martins Stephens, I always thought was a bit wicked, of course he had an excuse I guess, and he was very frightful as David Zellaby one of the alien spawn children, in Village of the Damned.

Neat thread, Asta! The Bad Seed fairly gave me the willies too.

Then there were the creepy sets of twins who tried to feed Barbarella to their carvivorous dolls. Or the well-behaved schoolboys reverting to savagery in The Lord Of The Flies.

Or how about Harvey Stephens in The Omen? Director Richard Donner auditioned a bunch of child actors by telling them to attack him as viciously as they could. Along came fair-haired, angelic little Harvey, and Donner almost didn't bother. "OK, attack me." Harvey charges at him and starts punching him in the nuts. The crew had to pull him off. "Dye the little bastard's hair black!" Donner announced when he remembered how to breathe again. "We've found our Damien."

I love The Bad Seed. Rhoda was my sig and avatar a while back (I'll have to dig her up soon)

I was thoroughly creeped out by her, and as a kid, I was scared of Macauley Culkin from The Good Son.

The kids in the French film 'Them' are an evil bunch of little sh!ts..

I have not seen "Them". But I have seen the others and agree!!!... (Good story about the child actor of the "Omen"!...).

There is something about evil young children that creeps me out...
