Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things!

Anyone remember THIS post Night Of The Living Dead obscurity?

Made around 1971, it played relentlessly on many late night venues and has recently made it's way to DVD. The main star, Alan Ormsby, also starred in Tom Savini's first film where he did FX, called "Deranged" and also in a film called "Deathdream." Very cheesy makeup makes the zombies look very Halloweenish, but the sets, the acting and the story are true earmarks of a cult classic that just gets better with age despite it's BAD production values.

It might also be noted that it's producer\director team, Alan Ormsby and Bob Clark, also brought us the "Porky's" films, and Clark also did the film "Black Christmas". Ormsby also directed the 1980 remake of "The Cat People". Clark ALSO made our favorite story of a young boy and a Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun, "A Christmas Story!"

You would hardly believe that these guys went on to do such considerable works, considering the train wreck that CSPWDT is. But trainwrecks, like any wreck, are fun to watch as long as noone gets hurt, and this film is a milestone of such cheesy goodness.
