Godfather trilogy restoration

Here's an interesting article about what exactly was done to the shockingly badly preserved negatives of the Godfather and Godfather II (note: technically the Godfather III was not restored at all, they simply created a preservation negative for the film that's up to current day standards). This project was the basis for the new DVD versions recently released.

I picked up the DVD versions of the Godfather trilogy restoration and am happy with the new PQ, definitely cleaner then the old black box set. I'd say it's worth a double dip if you are a fan.
