total of eight 1970 academy awards
(including best picture), Patton is a
riveting portrait of one of the 20th
century's greatest military geniuses. One
of its Oscars went to George C. Scott for
his triumphant portrayal of George Patton,
the only Allied General truly feared by
the Nazis. Charismatic and flamboyant,
Patton designed his own uniforms, sported
ivory-handled six - shooters, and believed
he was a warrior in past lives. He
outmaneuvered Rommel in Africa, and after
D-Day led his troops in an unstoppable

Love Story is a 1970 romantic drama film
written by Erich Segal coordinated with
his 1970 best-selling novel. It was
directed by Arthur Hiller. The film,
well-known as a tear-jerking tragedy, is
considered one of the most romantic of all
time by the American Film Institute.
The music you hear is the original music
score / soundtrack / theme "Where Do I
Begin" for the 1970 blockbuster movie Love
Story, and it was composed by Francis Lai.
Yes, he's the original composer for this
incredibly beautiful song. Actually
Francis Lai won the Academy Award (Oscar)
for "Best Music, Original Score" and the
Golden Globe Award for "Best Original
Score" for this.
Afterwards, the Love Story theme "Where Do
I Begin" was put into lyrics by Carl
Sigman and then recorded successfully by
several artists, to name a few: Henry
Mancini, Rick Astley, Shirley Bassey,
Johnny Mathis, and Andy Williams. It just
happens that Andy Williams recorded the
biggest hit version of it.
The ones I like best are the original by
Francis Lai and the hit version by Andy
Williams.
